PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller capable of operating a required operation program by simply adding various operation programs as necessary. SOLUTION: A ROM board connector 11 is connected to a flash memory 4 for storing the operation programs of respective equipments through an extension bus 10, and when a ROM board 12 is mounted on the connector 11, a ROM 12a on the ROM board 12 is activated and the addresses of the memory 4 are newly allocated. Since various programs are previously written in the ROM 12a on the ROM board 12 and the ROM board 12 is attached to the connector 11 as necessary, the control device can be made compact. In the case of correcting/adding a program in the memory 4, it is unnecessary to detach the memory 4 from the control device and only the ROM board 12 or a general program device is carried to the installed position of the control device for each equipment, the device suited to field work can be provided.
