PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of a state that status information can not be acquired by another host in a long log-in state to a printer status information acquiring channel. SOLUTION: When a status information acquiring task can not acquire status information within prescribed time from log-in to a printer in order to acquire the status information in a host driven under the control of a non-preemptive OS, the task cancels task execution right after temporarily logging out from the printer. After acquiring the task execution right again, the task performs log-in again and acquires the status information.
