<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electron emission element, a driving method for the electron emission element, an electron source and an image formation device capable of contributing to an improvement for an electron emission efficiency for enabling to control an electron orbit with a simple composition and realizing to elongate life of the element. SOLUTION: On an insulating layer 3, electrically separated high-voltage electrodes 4a and 4b are arranged. On the one side, e.g. a voltage is applied only between the electrode 4b and a low-voltage electrode 2 and the electron is emitted through a space 6, and the other high-voltage electrode 4a is electrically connected with the low-voltage electrode 2 for functioning as an electrode to control the electron orbit.</p> |
