PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanical utterance device which artificially utters voices approximate to human voices by disposing a tongue body in an expired air passage disposed in the device and passing gas to this expired air passage. SOLUTION: The mechanical utterance device which utters the voices by disposing the tongue body 11 in the expired air passage 7 disposed in the device and passing the gas to the expired air passage has a lip control means which is disposed with a nose part 3 having nasal fossa parts 3A and 3B above the expired air passage, vocal cord parts 50 on the deep side of the expired air passage and lips 18 on the outlet side and tooth parts 13 and controls the opening areas of the lips, a tooth part control means which controls the opening and closing of the tooth parts, a tongue body control means which displaces the tongue body to a prescribed shape and a vocal cord part opening control means for controlling the expired air passage opening area of the vocal cord parts. At least the expired air passage, tongue body and vocal cord parts are formed of soft members and the respective control means are formed of rigid material members.
