<p>A device for forming an image by indirect transfer comprises a platen roller (2), an intermediate transfer film (3) provided on the platen roller (2), and an ink ribbon (4) laid on the intermediate transfer film (3). The ink ribbon (4) is selectively heated by a thermal head (1). An image to be recorded is formed in the form of a mirror image on an image forming layer (10) of the intermediate transfer film (3). The intermediate transfer film (3) and a transfer body (9) are heated and pressed between a heating roller (5) and a press roller (6), and the image forming layer (10) is transferred onto the body (9) together with the image to be transferred. The intermediate transfer film (3) and the ink ribbon (4) are housed in detachable cassettes (22, 30) and drawn out of the cassettes (22, 30) to form an image to be recorded.</p> |
