<p>A multi-use vessel (10) designed to receive a variety of float-on modules (30) that accommodate project specialty equipment and still allow the mother vessel (10) to operate in the traditional construction mode. The vessel is provided with a tween deck (14) between and lower than the gunwales (16). The tween deck is provided with docking ports (18) to receive and secure the float-on modules and a moon pool (42) for laying pipe.The vessel is ballasted to position the tween deck below the water line so that the float-on modules may be installed or removed. The gunwales may include one or more cranes (36) and lowering equipment (38).</p> |
