<p>Transgenic plants are described which have an increased methionine content due to the reduction of the activity of threonine synthase in cells of these plants. Furthermore, methods for the preparation of such cells are described as well as the use of nucleic acid molecules encoding threonine synthase for the preparation of the described transgenic plants.</p> |
