The method involves determining the sequence in which vehicle bodies (K,K') pass through assembly stages and computing the resources required for an assembly stage (2,2',2'') as a function of time from the known common and special equipment associated with the stage. The time variation of the required resources is communicated. Independent claims are also included for the following: a monitoring system for monitoring resources in multi-stage manufacturing process.
