The conveyor chain has one-piece metal chain links (1,2), some of which have upright tips (3) to hold cold meat slices. Each link is formed as a curved stamping, a forged part, or a cast part, and each or very second one has a tip. All links have apertures for cross bolts, esp. metal pins (7), connecting the links. The links have four apertures each, and there is a mainly bar-shaped section between the sections with the apertures. The chain links are of spring steel.
