A road warning sign has a hollow body 10 of elastomeric material releasably mounted on a base member 12. A frusto-conical or curved triangular section body 10 moulded from synthetic plastics material, which may have a two colour solid pigmentation, has a rib 13 and a deformable flange 14 engaging the inner. surface of a rubber base member 12. The body may, alternatively, be mounted in a groove in the base member or joined thereto by a bayonet fitting. The body may have a light reflecting surface or may be translucent and internally lit from a lamp mounted on a platform held within the lower part of the body by spring clips. The base may be saucer shaped and weighted for greater stability. |
