<p>The invention is concerned with a method of determining network address allocation on a communications network. The method comprises the steps of: b) obtaining one or more network addresses relating to one or more first nodes on the network for each first node: a1) obtaining a first list of network addresses of all nodes that are accessible via the first node for each node listed in the first list: a11) categorising the node; a12) if the categorised node corresponds to a network forwarding node, obtaining a second list, which second list comprises addresses that are accessible via the categorised node; a13) repeating steps a11-a12 until all network forwarding nodes that are accessible via the first node have been identified.</p> |
