<p>A polyurethane which is obtained from ingredients comprising a high-molecular polyol, an organic polyisocyanate, and a chain extender comprising a specific trifunctional isocyanurate compound having an aromatic hydroxyl group and/or a benzylic hydroxyl group, and which has a crosslinked structure due to the isocyanurate compound. The polyurethane has excellent elastic recovery, and the urethane bonds at the crosslinking sites reversibly undergo cleavage and bonding at a certain temperature. From this polyurethane can therefore be produced an elastic fiber which can be thermally set in a high degree at temperatures not lower than a certain temperature and which, after the thermal setting, has the same excellent elastic recovery as the fiber which has not undergone thermal setting.</p> |
