<p>A waist band adjuster, particularly intended for trousers, is associated with one or both of the side pockets. The or each pocket is formed with a pocket portion (13) which is connected to the body of the trousers at its lower end and is movable about its connection to effect adjustment of the waist size. At the upper end of the portion (13) is carried a clamping member (16) which is located for engagement with a strip (19) attached to the waist band. The securing member (16) can move along the strip (19) for adjustment purposes. The strip is fixed in position in relation to the securing member by a pivotable arm (26) which secures the strip in position. The arrangement makes for a neat adjustment feature which avoids distortion of the garment.</p> |
