RUBBER COMPOSITION FOR BASE STRIP OF A TIRE, CONTAINING SILICA

PURPOSE: A rubber composition for the base strip of a tire is provided, which contains silica to improve the exothermic characteristics of a base strip, thereby enhancing the durability of a tire. CONSTITUTION: The rubber composition comprises the known base strip composition; 10-60 phr of silica; and a silane coupling agent. The content of the silane coupling agent is 5-15 parts by weight based on 100 parts of the silica. The rubber used in the composition is NR, NR/BR, NR/SBR, or NR/SBR/BR.
