Liquid crystalline polyester resin molding composition comprising resin containing 4-hydroxybenzoic acid, 4,4'-dihydroxybiphenyl and terephthalic acid units and glass fibers. A liquid crystalline resin composition (I) has bending modulus (measured on a 0.5 mm thick test piece) of 25 GPa or more and comprises: (a) 5-20 parts weight glass fibers having number average diameter of 2-20 mu m and length 210-500 mu m (after shaping); and (b) 100 parts weight of a liquid crystalline polyester resin containing units derived from 4-hydroxybenzoic acid (HBA), 4,4'-dihydroxybiphenyl (DHBP), terephthalic acid (TPA) and optionally isophthalic acid (IPA), these units forming at least 95 mol. % of the resin.
