The connector for attaching a rod (16) to another component (18) comprises a base (10) with a shaft (32) which fits into an aperture (22) in the component. It also has a recess (28) in one side into which the rod fits. A cover (12) fits into the base. This has pins (62 - 68) which locate into slots in the base. Initially these are inserted into the slots (48, 50) on one side of the recess. The rod is then inserted and the pins are pushed into slots (54, 56) on the other side of it so that a groove (72) on the cover locates around the rod. The groove and rod have a cooperating pattern of ribs (20). A latch (14) is then fitted over the base and cover to lock them together.
