<p>In order to establish a call in a mobile communication system, a call request is sent by a mobile station or a controller to a system infrastructure. The infrastructure then determines, at step 3, whether or not the call request is for a geographically restricted or localised call. If it is detected that the call request is for a localised call, i.e. there is a call area defining message in the call request, the call is processed according to steps 9 to 19. In particular, an area to which the call is to be restricted is defined with reference to the location of a selected mobile station and called mobile stations within the defined call area are connected to the call.</p> |
