<p>Lipids (free fatty acids, ergosterol, ubiquinone, etc.) are produced by culturing a microorganism (preferably a variant or a recombinant of Saccharomyces cerevisiae), which shows a lipid content in a parent strain of not more than 0.17 g/g dry cells and an extracellular lipid secretion dose of not less than 0.15 g/L, in a liquid medium and thus accumulating lipids in the medium.</p> |
