Mobile plane-vise tool has boards, circular-section strips, handle, arm and rail

The plane-vise tool consists of a rectangular board fitted at 90/=o to a rectangular baseplate with a second movable rectangular board opposite it. The fixed board has two holes for two circular-section strips of wood to hold the boards parallel. Pressure is applied by a handle and an arm running on a rail through the movable board and fixed to the fixed board. Two recesses in the movable board enable the tool to be fixed to a fixed object.
