The invention relates to a household device, in particular, a kitchen machine, comprising a housing of two connectable housing parts (1 and 2), in which an electrical working element (11) is arranged, the electrical circuit of which comprises a control member (23), which may be operated by means of an operating element (22), arranged on the exterior of the housing. As the control member (23) is fixed to a floating support (9), directly or indirectly arranged on the one housing part (1), at least one aligning element (3) is provided on the other housing part (2), which may engage with a counter aligning part (17, 19), arranged on the support piece (9) on bringing the housing parts (1 and 2) together and the position of the aligning element (3) on the other housing part (2) is related to a mounting opening (5) for the mounting of the operating element (22), no difficulties arise in relation to creating the electrical contacts between the working element and the control member, nor with the mechanical connection of the operating element to the control member.
