The automatic umbrella has a swivelling handle (1) with a pivot attached to the central cap (2) of its canopy. A slide (5.5) can move along the handle to open the umbrella. This consists of a main slide (5.2) and a supplementary slide (5.1) joined by a central bar around which a spring (5.3) is mounted which applies tension to the open canopy. Support struts (4.2) linked to the canopy struts (4.1) are attached at the opposite end to the supplementary slide and supplementary struts (4.3) are linked to these and to the main slide.
