<p>A method and apparatus for feature interaction detection is described in detail. It is based on a generic model of transactions between a requester and a provider. The Plain Old Telephone Service (POTS) is modelled as a set of transactions each of which represents a distinct phase in a telephone call. It is then shown how services (or their features) alter the specification of those phases. A number of rules are described that identify feature interaction between two services. This is achieved by examining the effects of the combined changes made to the same POTS phase.</p> |
