PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To operate the compressor of a heat pump or a refrigerating system surely within a compressor map. SOLUTION: A controller (18) monitors the saturated suction temperature(SST) and the saturated delivery temperature(SDT) of an apparatus comprising a compressor (40) operating as a part of a refrigerating system or a heat pump. When the compressor (40) operates on the outside of its compressor map, the controller (18) controls the compressor (40) to operate only within its compressor map surely. Such a control operation includes to defrost a condenser coil in the apparatus or interrupt power supply to a unit in heating mode.
