A reversing valve for connecting outlet ports 5, 5<SP>1</SP> alternately with an inlet 3 and exhaust ports 4, 4<SP>1</SP> has an indicator attachment 13 passing without friction through the end of the valve housing and enclosed by a transparent or translucent cap 14 sealed by an 0-ring to the housing. The cap may be flanged for attachment to the housing or it may be enclosed by a housing 16 with a fixing flange and an inspection cut-out 18 for observing the attachment 13 which may be coloured red. The valve is actuated by differential pistons 7, 8 under the control of one or two hand or magnetically operated auxiliary valves 2. |
