PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that optical characteristics deteriorate when a complex optical element is composed by placing a first double refractivity area 1 and a second double refractivity area 2 on one side of a Faraday rotor 7, and joining a third double refractivity area 3 and a fourth double refractivity area 4 through a jointing 8 to the other surface because of the existence of a fifth area 5 and a sixth area 6 by a used adhesive. SOLUTION: In the complex optical element in which the first, second and fifth double refractivity areas are joined on one surface of the Faraday rotor, and the third, fourth and sixth double refractivity areas are joined on the other surface. The optical axes of the first and second double refractivity areas are intersected, and the optical axes of the third and fourth double refractivity areas are intersected. Both principal surfaces of the first and second double refractivity areas have the same ground surface, both principal surfaces of the third and fourth double refractivity areas have the same ground surface, the material of the first, second, third and fourth double refractivity areas is the same, and the percentage of a light beam passing the fifth and sixth areas is made into 10% or less.
|
