The blind spot vehicle detector for a motor vehicle has a warning circuit (8) to alert the driver if he is about to change lanes with an unseen vehicle in a dangerous position behind him. The circuit has a memory (6) to retain the path of the vehicle (A) in a road. A detection circuit (11-13) co-operates with the memory to establish the presence of another vehicle (B) in the same lane. The path of the vehicle carrying the detector can have sensors on the steering wheel, road sped sensors or road wheel position sensors to determine the projected path of the vehicle. |
