PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means capable of easily cleaning a blade in a developing device and surely cleaning the blade without damaging the surface of the blade or the surface of a developer carrier in the case of cleaning. SOLUTION: This developing device is provided with the developer carrier holding and carrying toner on the surface of a rotatable cylinder, a toner supply means supplying onecomponent toner, and a toner layer regulating blade electrifying the toner and also regulating layer thickness by pressing and abutting on the surface of the developer carrier. The developing device is provided with the cleaning member cleaning the vicinity of the abutting end of the blade on the developer carrier by rotating and sliding from the surface on an opposite side to the surface of the blade coming into contact with the developer carrier. |
