PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver halide photographic sensitive material free of uneven development and uneven drying in rapid processing in spite of containing a proper quantity of a binder and giving a stable image. SOLUTION: In the silver halide photographic sensitive material with a silver halide emulsion layer on the base, a matting agent obtained by copolymerizing a nonionic ethylenically unsaturated monomer with an ethylenically unsaturated monomer other than an anionic monomer and (1) a specified polyoxyethylene- containing nonionic surfactant, (2) a specified fluorine-containing surfactant or (3) a water-soluble polymer are contained.
