PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver halide photographic sensitive material excellent in shelf stability, having high sensitivity and a high concentration and also having quick and stable performance even if the amount of a development for replenishing is reduced. SOLUTION: In the silver halide photographic sensitive material with at least one photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer and at least two hydrophilic colloidal layers on the base, a hydrazine derivative is not substantially contained, a photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer having a silver to gelatin ratio of >1 is included and at least one compound selected from compounds of formula (1), etc., is contained in the photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer and/or the hydrophilic colloidal layers. In the formula, R1-R4 are each an aliphatic group; J1 is a divalent combining group containing at least one alkylene oxide group whose repeating unit is 1; J2 is a divalent aliphatic group or a divalent combining group containing at least one alkylene oxide group whose repeating unit is 1.
