PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving force control device capable of properly controlling execution and release of a lock mode to set tightening force of a clutch to distribute driving force to auxiliary drive wheels at the maximum in accordance with situations of a vehicle, and reducing the execution frequency and the execution period of the lock mode. SOLUTION: This driving force control device is provided with an input means 26 operated by a driver, a lock mode execution means 11 to execute the lock mode to set the tightening force of the clutch 10 at the maximum tightening force specified, a low car speed state determination means 11 to determine if the vehicle 2 is in a low car speed state or not, a shift position detecting means 21 to detect the shift position of a transmission 4, and a lock mode execution permitting means to permit execution of the lock mode by the lock mode execution means 11 when it is determined that the vehicle 2 is in the specified low car speed state, and as a specified low speed shift position R, 1, 2 of the transmission 4 is detected.
