PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To wind a film around all surfaces (six surfaces) of a load by a simple operation. SOLUTION: In the method for packaging a load wherein film supply machines 5a, 5a', 5b turn around along vertical surfaces whereby the film 9 is spirally wound around the load 7 which moves in an axial direction inside of them, after the film is spirally wound around the load following movement of the load in one direction, the load is rotated 90 deg. horizontally, thereafter the load is moved in a reverse direction, and the film is again spirally wound.
