摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detection means for belt position which can detect accurately a deviation of entrained position of a V ribbed belt against a pulley. SOLUTION: A pair of photoelectric switches 29, 30 arranged in a row across a pulley 16 are faced with the entrained position of the V ribbed belt 11 on the pulley 16. A space W' between both photoelectric switches 29 and 30, a width W of the pulley 16, and a pitch P of the V rib 11a of the V ribbed belt 11 have a relationship W<W'<W+P with each other, and a spotlight from the photoelectric switch 29 is radiated under the condition that the center line of the space W' of the photoelectric switches 29, 30 is in line with that of the width W of the pulley 16. When V ribbed belt 11 is entrained about V grooves 19 of the pulley 16 with some deviations, such deviations of entrained position of V ribbed belt 11 can be detected in the way that the spotlight is radiated from one of the photoelectric switches 29, 30 to the V ribbed belt 11 and then the reflected light therefrom is received by the photoelectric switches 29, 30.
