PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically measure the electric field intensity of a disturbing radio wave etc. SOLUTION: This instrument includes a receiving means 10 which receives a radio wave through an antenna, an A/D converting means 11 which converts the received radio wave into a digital value, a control means 12 which calculates the electric field intensity of the received radio wave, and an input means 13 which sets a decision time interval, a threshold, etc., in the control means 12; and the control means 12 compares the electric field intensity with the threshold value at decision time intervals and when the electric field intensity exceeds the threshold value, the control means calculates mean electric field intensity from electric field intensity values obtained from the point t1 of time to a point t2 of time when the electric field intensity becomes less than the threshold and also finds the elapsed time from the point t1 to the point t2 of time, so that the mean electric field intensity and elapsed time are displayed by a display means.
