PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the possibility of mixing an odor to air blown from an air conditioner for a vehicle. SOLUTION: This air conditioner for a vehicle has a duct 1 for blowing air into a vehicle compartment; a deodorization filter 3 having a photocatalyst receiving outside light coming in from the upper part, and arranged in a range of about 30-60 degrees in the length direction of the duct 1 in the vicinity of a blowout port 2 of the duct 1; and a light transmission plate 4 arranged on the duct 1 side faced to the deodorization filter 3, making the air of the air conditioner flow along the duct 3, and making light incident to the deodorization filter 3 having the photocatalyst. When air is blown out from the blowout port 2 of the duct 1 into the vehicle compartment, ultraviolet rays passed through a mesh 5 and the light transmission plate 4 are incident on the photocatalyst 3e formed by coating titanium dioxide housed in the deodorization filter 3. When receiving the ultraviolet rays, the photocatalyst 3e displays highly active oxidizing force to decompose an odor component. |
