PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator to solve a problem that the ambient temperature of the refrigerator is increased because of a condenser being brought into an intensive state in a machine room, the refrigerator is used in a high temperature outside air state, further, the refrigerator having structure where a machine room is situated at the lower part of a refrigerator body and a condenser to evaporate defrosting waver is situated therein, a main condenser is situated above the ceiling plate of the refrigerator body, and the upper surface of the main condenser is covered by a decorative cover, is contributed to discharge of the heat of the machine room but increases the substantial height of the refrigerator body. SOLUTION: A refrigerator is supported at a refrigerator body having a storage chamber with a front opening by a hinge device, and provided with a door to open and close the front opening. The hinge device is situated at one side of the front end part of the upper surface of the refrigerator body. The refrigerant condenser of a refrigerating system to cool the storage chamber is situated in a flat state on the upper surface of the refrigerator body in a manner to be positioned at a lower than the height of the hinge device or the door.
