PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of inhibiting the felt-loop from moving in a zigzag line, since the lees of pulp fibers and the lees of additives sticking to the felt loop tend to adhere and accumulate to the guide roller, although it has a role of preventing the felt loop from moving in a zigzag line so that it may go straight ahead in the process for making paper by means of a paper- making machine in which the wet paper runs as it adheres to the felt loop and is pressed with the felt and squeezed the moisture with the felt and the guide roller on the outside of the felt loop comes into contact with the felt surface and the lees tend to accumulate to the guide roll. SOLUTION: Water or warm water is showered to the guide roller coming into contact with the felt loop whereby the lees of the pulp fibers and the additives are prevented from accumulating on the guide roller. As a result, the troubles on the paper making, for example, paper breakage and the like and the quality deterioration of the paper produced, for example, wrinkles or folds on the paper sheets can be inhibited.
