PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wiping implement which can wipe out an adhering substance such as ink so that moisture is scarcely left on the surface of a whiteboard or the like, and produces an excellent wiping effect. SOLUTION: A plate-shaped water retaining material 1 is covered with cloth 2 constituted of super-extra-thin filament threads of single-fiber fineness 0.0001-1.0 dtex, and the cloth 2 is made a wiping surface 3.
