Procedure and device to determine the geometrical form of sheetlike articles or piles thereof

The sheet material is laid on a measurement table with marked out reference grid of rows and columns. Then coordinates of optical markings are determined and the coordinates of intersections of lines corresponding to the edges of the sheets are determined. From the intersection points the length of the edges and the enclosed angle of the sheets are determined. The measured lengths and angles are compared with design values to ensure that the reject rate is low or zero. An Independent claim is made for a device for determination of the geometry of sheet type material, comprising camera, light source and controlling computer.
