[Also in Division B7] In applying a liner to a tyre carcass, the liner 11 is mounted on a bladder 30 which expands to force it against the inside of the carcass, excess liner being trimmed off by a heated ring 48. The bladder forces the liner 11 against the ring (Fig. 6), heated by a heater 50, and into circumferential grooves 51, to which the excess liner adheres when the ring is withdrawn (Fig. 10). |
