摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen storage alloy for a secondary battery in which the pulverization of the alloy at occluding and discharging can be suppressed without causing the reduction of the amount of hydrogen to be occluded, and also, the reduction of the alloy cost by the reduction of the content of Co can simultaneously be realized. SOLUTION: This hydrogen storage alloy for a secondary battery has a CaCu5 type crystal structure expressed by the compositional formula, RNIaCobMncAldSnx (wherein, 0<x<0.15, 4.0<=a<=4.4, 0<b<=0.6, 0.2<=c<=0.4, 0.2<=d<=0.4, 5.00<=a+b+c+d+x<=5.30, and R is a mixture of rare earth elements) and in which the ratio of lattice constants (c/a) is 0.8055 to 0.8070.
