PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a GPS receiver mounted with not only a GPS positioning function but also other functions required for a car navigation system and capable of providing a host CPU with information in a form easy to use. SOLUTION: This receiver is equipped with a sampling means for sampling DR sensor signals, such as gyro-sensor signals, vehicle speed pulses, and backward movement signals, in a specified cycle, and a control means for outputting, as one frame of data, a plurality of sets of sampled data together with GPS positioning solutions calculated in a specified cycle each time the positioning solutions are calculated for one cycle. For example, when the control means outputs one frame of data as serial data, the host CPU has only to control a serial interface to acquire the sampled data of the DR sensor signals together with the GPS positioning solutions. |
