MICROCAPSULE COMPOSITION FOR THERMAL STORAGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a microcapsule for thermal storage capable of readily dehydrating and drying the resultant slurry and having a high thermal storage efficiency. SOLUTION: This microcapsule for the thermal storage is characterized in that the microcapsule particle for the thermal storage has a bimodal particle size distribution comprising (a) a small-particle part having 0.1 to <10 μm average particle diameter and (b) a large-particle part having 10-1,000 μm average particle diameter in the microcapsule for the thermal storage having one or more layers (at least one layer) of capsule walls consisting essentially of a thermoplastic resin prepared by radical addition polymerization and formed around a core substance consisting essentially of a compound capable of freely carrying out phase transition.
