OPTICAL FIBER BUNDLING JIG AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF OPTICAL FIBER BUNDLE AND OPTICAL FIBER BUNDLE WITH FERULE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of an optical fiber bundle and an optical fiber bundle with a ferule which can manufacture the optical fiber bundle excellent in light transmission in its productivity, and bundling jig for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: The bundling jig for the optical fibers is composed of a hollow cylindrical tube at least one side of which is open, and at least a part is made of a material whose thermal conductivity is less than 5 W/(mK). The optical fiber bundle can be manufactured by the method in which a plurality of optical fibers are inserted in the hollow part of the bundling jig and the fibers in the hollow part are fused to each other by being heated, then the fused optical fiber bundle is taken out. The manufacturing method of optical fiber bundle with ferule is that on the outer periphery of above obtained fused optical fiber bundle a metallic ferule is provided.
