<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a front hood structure for a vehicle, capable of enhancing impact energy absorbing efficiency at the front part of the front hood. SOLUTION: A reinforcement 4 is installed between an outer panel 1 and an inner panel 2. The reinforcement 4 has a first bent part 41 and forms a triangle shape. A second bent part 44 provided at the end part of a wall surface 43 on the front side of the first bent part 41 is engaged with a locking part 21 provided on the inner panel 2 in the vicinity of the hem junction part 5 of the outer panel 1 and the inner panel 2, and the terminal part of the wall part 42 on the rear side of the first bent part 41 is fixed to the inner panel 2 in the vicinity of the front side of a hood lock 6. Against a bump in the upper part, this front hood is buckledly deformed by receiving a load in a wide angle area by the wall surfaces 42, 43 and inputting and transmitting it to the inner panel 2, and against a bump in the front, the second bent part 44 is disengaged from the locking part 21 and the reinforcement 4 is compressedly deformed frontward and backward.</p> |
