PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple and solid camshaft adjusting apparatus, in which a camshaft can be adjusted to a driving wheel. SOLUTION: The camshaft adjusting apparatus for an internal combustion engine has at least one electric motor for adjusting the camshaft 11 to the driving wheel 10 trough a gear mechanism 12. The gear mechanism 12 has a planetary gear carrier rotatably supporting planetary gears 4 rotated by the electric motor. Each of the plurality of planetary gears 4 is meshed with an internal gear 1, and the electric motor 3 allocated for each planetary gear 4 is rotated through a common shaft 6.
