PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper sheet conveyance apparatus in a paper sorting system having such a structure as to ensure aligning performance and to be proof against the position of paper under alignment being in disorder again. SOLUTION: The back wall 11b of a chute part 11 which is vertically provided with horizontally extending slits 14a, 14b formed so as to move toward a paper sheet delivery position 8 by protruding arms 18a, 18b guiding the paper sheets 10 which is applied with vertical vibration and is moving toward the paper sheet delivery position 8 is formed into a stepwise shape so as to retreat more from within the chute part 11 as it becomes a section disposed thereunder for each section (13a, 13b, 13c) vertically divided by the slits 14a, 14b.
