PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve workability, maintainability, and transportability of a carrying unit, in a paper sheet carrying device consisting of a plurality of confluence carrying units and a carrying unit mounted between the adjacent confluent units. SOLUTION: A paper sheet carrying device consists of a plurality of confluent relay units, and a carrying unit removably formed between the adjacent relay units. The confluent relay unit is capable of feeding charged paper sheets or paper sheets, carried from a spot situated upper stream, to a carrying unit situated downstream. The carrying unit consists of a plurality of frames and are intercoupled in a longitudinal direction to form a carrying passage to carry the paper sheets and formed collapsibly in a zigzagging state. The carrying unit forms a carrying passage to carry the paper sheets by intercoupling the frame longitudinally and handling is facilitated by folding it collapsibly in a zigzagging state during carriage and maintenance.
