PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backflow preventing deice, allowing improvement of heat-resistance performance, and allowing easy engagement of a casing part 1 with a valve element hold part 3 without causing a break in assembling to facilitate the assembling. SOLUTION: In this backflow preventing device, at least one of the casing part 1 and the valve element hold part 3 is formed with axial cutouts, so that the an engagement part is bent radially sufficiently to easily assemble the backflow preventing device.
