PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface covering method for tunnel lining concrete capable of reinforcing the tunnel lining concrete and preventing its flaking. SOLUTION: A cover layer covering the surface of the lining concrete lined on a tunnel is formed by this surface covering method for the tunnel lining concrete. Two holding metal fittings extending in the tunnel longitudinal direction are fitted at the cover interval to the surface of the lining concrete, flat panel-like segments are arranged in multiple rows in the tunnel longitudinal direction between the holding metal fittings, and a back-filling material is injected and solidified in the gap between the surface of the lining concrete and the back faces of the segments.
