PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photosensitive material scanning exposure device which transports photosensitive materials as it is in a long-sized state, subjects the photosensitive materials to scanning exposure and has an exposure means for executing the scanning exposure without being affected by a disturbance generated by accompanying transportation. SOLUTION: The scanning exposure device transports the photosensitive materials A as it is in the long-sized state and is disposed with an exposure means 31 for executing scanning exposure, a reservoir section 61 for forming a loop Y3 in the photosensitive materials A, a development processing section 4 having a drying function and a cutter 6 in its transporting route. The device executes exposing, developing, drying and cutting to sheet bodies while transporting the photosensitive materials A in the long-sized state. The device is so constituted that development processing may be continued even if an exposure processing section 3 is stopped. The loop of the photosensitive materials A is formed in front and behind the exposure section.
